Our cuisine

All meals for our guests are prepared in our spacious and cosy kitchen named Čarovar, by local people who love cooking and experimenting with food. An array of herbs, parsley tops and lovage are regularly dried on the stove which causes a warm and inviting aroma to emanate throughout the eco-centre.
Their philosophies are:
- vegetarian food, which is both colourful and sufficient in amount
- a small quantity of high quality ingredients are sourced from within the eco-centre itself. The majority is provided by local farms and producers.
- Use of BIO products
- Processed and prepared foods along chemicals and additives are not used in the preparation of meals
- When buying food from local supermarkets, we prefer to buy Slovak products in large quantities with the intention to waste less packaging (i.e. purchasing a larger version of a single product means using less packaging)

As well as providing full vegetarian board, we also prepare meals according to special dietary requirements (e.g. gluten-free/ dairy free etc.). Any special dietary requests shall be agreed in advance.

BREAKFAST
- Bread with filling (egg, bean, cheese, cottage cheese) and vegetables
- Bread with butter, cheese, egg and vegetables
- Sweet bread with butter andjam
- Porridge (millet, barleycorn, corn), pickled fruit, date syrup, tahini and roasted seeds
- Hand made muesli (roasted oats, caramel, nuts, raisons), yogurt, cacao or cinnamon

- Vegetable with noodles (broccoli, cauliflower)
- Lentil with gnocchi
- Cabbage (kale) with barley grits and smoked tofu
- Pea (pea- hokkaido) with croutons

MAIN MEAL (LUNCH AND DINNER)
- Vegetarian filled paprika with mashed potatoes
- Indian sabji, white rice and spicy beans
- Stewed peas with tofu, wholegrain rice, roasted potatoes and vegetable salad
- Szeged goulash with soy meat, dumplings
- Potato dumplings with sheep cheese and roasted tempeh
- Pizza with toppings of tomatoes, paprika, mushrooms, sweetcorns, olives and cheese
- Pasta with vegetables (tomato sauce, tempeh cheese) and vegetable salad
- Fried local cheese, cauliflower, potatoes, tartar sauce and vegetable salad
- Baked soy noodles, vegetable sauce, pasta and vegetable salad
- Buckwheat rissoles (buckwheat, carrot, cheese), potatoes and stewed red cabbage
- Hokkaido rissole (hokkaido, oats, cheese), potatoes, tartar sauce and vegetable salad
- Vegetable risotto with mushrooms and vegetable salad
- Baked Hokkaido with sauerkraut and potatoes
- Vegetarian Chinese with white rice
